I hope I'm doing this right. Although I have been using computers for years, this is my first blog post.
DJ and Mark are truly troopers. Although kitchens are the hardest room in the house to live through while remodeling they are really doing well. Even though they are tough, they are (like a marathon runner) probably feeling the impact of the wall. There is light at the end of the tunnel, they just can't see it clearly.
The electrician worked on the lighting today which will look great when he is finished. (Did you see the great fixtures they chose?) We are putting the flooring on the schedule as well as the interior trim replacement. Once the counters go in next Friday we can invite the plumber over to install all the fixtures. With flooring and plumbing in place, appliances can go in. But low and behold we aren't finished yet. It will then be time for the painting. Then one final cleaning and we'll be there. I do expect an open house or at least a donut when we are done.
Honestly, the project is moving along extremely well and that can be at least, in part attributed to a willing and appreciative customer. As will all three projects for DJ and Mark they have been great people to work with.

Looks great! Now Art will tell me that he is right & we can live through having all the ceilings repaired & resurfaced, and stay in the house!
No start date yet but I've packed up 98% of the collectibles. Now it's Art's turn to get the Ham Station broke down & stored away. Thank goodness for storage containers on site! They say only 4/5 days? Plus paint outside & repair cracks in walls in quilt room & floor in Fl Rm & Art will paint inside.
